Developing Clinical Guidelines for both Primary and Secondary Care

About NICE

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is an independent organisation responsible for providing national guidance on promoting good health and preventing and treating ill health.

The work of NICE relies on the participation of healthcare professionals, patients and their carers and members of the public. There are a number of ways to get involved with NICE, including suggesting guideline topics, commenting on draft guidance, joining a NICE working group or committee and supporting the implementation of NICE guidance.
